Kenyana Northover Ayres
Masters Level Intern

I am a Master of Social Work student at Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. I have several years of experience working in child welfare, behavioral health and care coordination, supporting children, adolescents, adults and families. My experiences have strengthened my passion for helping people navigate life’s challenges while recognizing their own strengths and resilience. My approach is warm, person centered and nonjudgmental. I believe you are the expert on your own life and my role is to meet you where you are while supporting you in where you want to go. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood and comfortable being yourself. I also believe therapy does not always have to feel heavy. There is room for laughter, personality and simply being human while doing the work. I am excited to work with individuals of different ages, backgrounds and life experiences. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where we can navigate challenges, recognize growth and figure things out together.
